His comments come on the back of reports that Eamon Gilmore was last night asked by the Labour Party to quit as Minister for Foreign Affairs in order to save the party from wipe out in the next general election.
Ger Nash said it is also unlikely that there will be a cabinet re-shuffle this side of the local and European elections.
"In some ways I think he is an extremely hard working Tánaiste, and extremely hard working leader of the Labour party," he said.
"We have seen the benefits of being in government with some of things that we have introduced like joint labour committees for example
"It's up to the Tánaiste what he wishes to do
"I don't think we're going to have a reshuffle until after the 2014 local and European elections I rethink it's a bit of a side show to be honest
"We are getting on with the job of turning this country around and rescuing this economy and we are succeeding in doing it."
