Groups call on Govt to introduce Paternity leave

There are calls for the Government to introduce two weeks Paternity leave for fathers.

Last week the Government introduced the EU parental leave directive which extended parental work leave from 14 to 18 weeks.

Now however, the Government is being urged to go one step further in passing the Family Leave Bill.

This would extend flexible working practices for parents as well as extending the length of time mothers can take breaks at work to nurse their child.
