Man dies in Galway car crash

A man has been killed in a car crash in Galway.

The single-vehicle collision occurred before 2.45am this morning, on the Headford to Galway Road, around six miles from Galway city.

A 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gardaí in Galway are trying to establish the exact time of the crash and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.
