Man held in connection with attempted murder of policeman
on 11/02/2013 11:40:24
The suspect is being questioned about the booby-trap bomb that was left under the officer's car in the east of the city in December.
He was arrested in west Belfast this morning and has been taken to the police's serious crime suite in Antrim.
The PSNI constable was preparing to take his wife and two children out for Sunday lunch when he discovered the device under his vehicle at his home on the Upper Newtownards Road.
Senior officers have said the bomb could have killed the policeman and his family.
The failed attack, which has been blamed on dissident republicans, took place close to PSNI headquarters and the home of the Northern Ireland Assembly at Stormont.
