Pipe bombs discovered in Dundalk made safe

The Army bomb disposal team have made safe four pipe bombs in Dundalk this evening.

The devices were found by Gardaí during the search of a derelict house in Haggartstown at around 2.30pm this afternoon.

A number of houses and a nearby restaurant were evacuated but the scene has now been declared safe.
