RTE warning over fake Toy Show text scam

RTE is warning the public about a fake Toy Show text message scam.

The message claims the recipient has won tickets to the Late Late Toy Show and then asks them to call a premium rate number to collect them.

RTE says there are no tickets for The Late Late Toy Show available by this method and these text messages are not from RTÉ.

The state broadcaster is urging the public not to respond to these text messages.
