Irishman pleads not guilty to sex in Dubai taxi

An Irishman has pleaded not guilty to having sex in a taxi in Dubai.

Conor McRedmond and his co-accused Rebecca Blake who is from Britain could face jail and deportation from the United Arab Emirates if convicted.

McRedmond - a 28 year old welder from Tullamore in Co. Offaly - and Ms. Blake both denied charges of "breach of honour with consent" and committing "an indecent act in a taxi" when they appeared before a Dubai court this morning.

However they both pleaded guilty to a third charge relating to the consumption of alcohol.
