Cork boy with 'bionic ear' shows signs of hearing

A young Cork boy who was fitted with a "bionic ear" earlier this year is now showing his first signs of hearing sounds.

Three-year-old Callum Geary from Ballyhooly has been undergoing intensive training in the US for up to six hours a day.

He will have to return to the US over the next few years for more treatment, and will also continue to have therapy back home in Cork.
