on 04/07/2012 15:50:27
The Alliance Against Cuts in Education called the reduction in the number of Special Needs Assistants next year "an abuse" of their children's human rights.
Protestors are marching from Dame Street, and are due to begin a demonstration outside the Dáil at 5pm.
Barbara Brack from Lucan, a parent of a child with Special Needs, said: "Ruairi Quinn once said that the best gift we cold give our children was an education. Well, give our children their human rights of an education. Let them succeed.
"These are the most precious things we own in life. We're here to fight for them…We won't be going away."
