Committee to examiner HSE budget

The Health Servce Executive's spending will come under scrutiny today.

The Public Accounts Committee is set to examine the HSE's budget, expenditure and procurement with its chief executive, Cathal Magee.

The HSE has an annual budget of around €14bn, but it was reported to be €145m over budget by the end of March and €200m in deficit by the end of April.
