Longford road reopens following fatal collision

The Longford to Keenagh Rd (R397) has reopened at Stonepark, Co Longford, following an earlier fatal collision.

All diversions have been lifted.

Gardaí are investigating after two men in the 20s lost their lives in the single car collision, which happened when the car in which they were travelling lost control and hit a ditch near Ballymacormack at around 12.30am.

A man and a woman, also in their 20s, are being treated for injuries sustained in the accident.
