Two share record Powerball jackpot

Two winners will share America's biggest Powerball jackpot ever - $579.9m (€448.6m).

Powerball officials said early today that tickets sold in Arizona and Missouri matched all six numbers to win the record jackpot.

The numbers drawn last night were 5, 16, 22, 23 and 29 with a Powerball of 6.

It was not clear whether the winning tickets belonged to individuals or groups.

Arizona lottery officials said early today that they had no information on the state's winner or winners but would announce where it was sold during a news conference later.

Lottery officials in Missouri were not immediately available for comment.
