Man injured in fall from Acropolis

A man has fallen off Greece's most famous monument, the Acropolis, in central Athens and suffered head injuries, police say.

The circumstances surrounding the fall were not clear, and the man's identity was not immediately known.

Officials said he appeared to be Greek and about 45 years old. He was taken by ambulance to hospital.

The Acropolis hill and the 2,500-year-old marble temples that stand atop it are the capital city's key tourist attraction.
