Figures reveal small annual increase in tourists to Ireland

The number of people travelling to Ireland has increased slightly.

According to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office, an extra 12,000 people came here last year, when compared with 2011.

The modest increase was worth an extra €158m to the economy, with just over €3.7bn spent by foreign visitors last year.
