UNITE recommend rejecting Croke Park II

UNITE is formally recommending a rejection of the new Croke Park Agreement.

The trade union's executive committee met today to discuss the planned extension to the deal - on cutting public sector pay.

The union withdrew from the negotiations shortly before the pay talks concluded.

UNITE Regional co-ordinator Walter Cullen says his members can't endure anymore cuts to their salaries.
