Australian mining company opens European HQ in Cork

An Australian mining company is establishing a new European headquarters in Cork, with the creation of three jobs.

Minelab's offices in Little Island will hand the firm's global gold mining division.

The company said the Cork operation would support small-scale gold miners worldwide.

Minelab produces gold detection technology and hand-held metal detectors.

Twenty-two people are currently employed by Minelab at Little Island.
