Toyota re-claim top spot in car sales figures

Toyota has re-claimed the title of the world's number one car maker.

It sold 9.75m vehicles across the globe last year - a record for the 75-year-old firm.

Toyota was the world's most popular car brand between 2008 and 2010, but fell to third place in 2011 after an earthquake and tsunami in Japan affected production.
