Rise in Greek unemployment continues

Greece's jobless rate rose to 26.8% in October.

There were more than 1.3 million unemployed Greeks that month, with an additional 368,000 people on jobless registers compared to last year.

Trades unions claim that the real jobless figure is much higher.

The country is facing a sixth year of recession and heavy cutbacks in order to maintain access to EU/IMF loans.
