Iarnród Éireann appoint new CEO

Iarnród Éireann has announced a new CEO is to take over next year.

David Franks has been named as the next Chief Executive, when Dick Fearn retires in February.

The 55-year-old has previosuly worked at the UK division of the French National Railways and Stockholm Metro.

Mr Fearn is stepping aside at the end of his seven-year contract.
