She was arrested at a city hotel shortly after touching down at Dublin Airport from South America on Friday.
32-year-old Raquel Aparicio Ruiz is a native of Malaga in the south of Spain, and has been in custody since her arrest on Friday.
Gardaí say she flew into Dublin airport from Frankfurt after taking a connection flight from Brazil.
Following a surveillance operation, she was arrested at a hotel in Clondalkin.
She appeared in court today where she was charged with having €140k worth of cocaine for sale or supply.
She made no reply when charged but wiped a few tears from her face as she was led back to the holding area.
The court heard she has no ties with this country, and she has been remanded in custody to appear before Blanchardstown District Court again next Monday.
