Man claims 34 rape charges are 'all lies' in Limerick court

The 33-year-old, who was previously charged with assault causing harm to the woman, appeared before Limerick District Court today on 47 new charges arising out of the same alleged incident.
These include 34 rape offences, seven counts of falsely imprisoning the woman, four counts of assaulting her causing her harm and two counts of sexually assaulting her.
All of the offences are alleged to have occurred between May 3 and 9, 2013, last at three different addresses in Limerick city.
Judge Eugene O'Kelly remanded the accused in custody until September 10 when he will make an application for bail.
Two other men are currently befre the courts charged with the false imprisonment of the woman.
Gardaí told the court, that in reply to the charges, the accused said: "That's all lies. I'm not guilty to all of those charges."
