SF launch campaign to abolish Seanad

The party claims that although the Dail is in need of reform, the Seanad will not be reformed if it is saved from abolition.
The party said it would have preferred to see the Constitutional Convention consider the matter first.
"Reform isn't on the agenda - it's the oldest trick in the book," the party's Finance Spokesman, Pearse Doherty, said.
"And they do it, they talk about Seanad reform, so that nobody takes the bull by the horn and abolishes the institution," he said.
