Emigration figures continue to rise

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show that 89,000 left the country - in the year to the end of April.
It represents an increase of 1,900 people or a rise of 2.2% on the same period in 2012.
Irish nationals accounted for almost 51,000 or 57% of the emigration numbers.
The level of immigration into Ireland increased by 6% during the year to the end of April - to 55,900.
