Irish firms looking to tap into Chinese tourist market

Up to 83 million Chinese people went on a foreign holiday, but visitor numbers from China to Ireland remain relatively low with just 30,000 people making the trip so far this year.
A number of Irish hotels and businesses are now looking to cater for the Chinese market by hiring Mandarin-speaking staff and creating websites in the language.
Chinese travel writer Fan Yi Bo, who visited Ireland this year, has said visa difficulties are stopping Chinese tourists from making the trip.
