Limerick man to be extradited to UK

A Limerick man has consented to his extradition to the UK, where he is wanted for allegedly stealing a rhino horn.

Michael Kealy (aged 26) of Abbeylands, Rathkeale is accused of robbing the valuable object from an antiques dealer in Newark on June 11, 2011.

The High Court heard when he was detained on a European Arrest Warrant last year he replied: "I know what it's about, I just witnessed the crime".

A single rhino-horn can have a value of up to €200,000.
