Glanbia sees 4.8% increase in revenues to €2.88bn

There was a 4.8% increase in total group revenues at Glanbia in 2012, to €2.88bn.

The company said its improved performance last year could be attributed to a boost in Glanbia's global nutritionals division, where revenue was up by a fifth.

Managing director John Molony said the company remained cautious given the global environment, but the balance sheet is in good shape for the year ahead.

"We're guiding 8% to 10% on a full-year basis," he said. "The business is in good shape to drive that growth and the balance sheet is in good shape."
