Funeral of father and daughter found dead in West Cork underway

The funeral is underway for the father and daughter found dead near their West Cork home on Wednesday.

Fifty-year-old Martin McCarthy and three-year-old Clarissa will be laid to rest in the one coffin after this afternoon's Requiem Mass at the church of St. Mary in Ballydehob.

Opening the homily the chief celebrant, Fr. Alan O'Leary, told the large congregation "We never know what goes on in a person's head, if we did, maybe we wouldn't be here today".
