A man has been shot dead in a pub in Dublin.
The gangland style gun attack happened at 7.10pm in the Cabra House pub on Faussagh Avenue.
Gardaí said two masked men entered the premises and one fired several shots at the victim, who was aged in his mid 20s.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, where his body remains.
The gunmen, who wore dark clothing, fled the scene on a motorbike.
No other customer in the Cabra House, which is also known as the Oasis, was injured during the shooting.
Detectives are trying to establish a motive for the gun attack in the city bar on Fassaugh Avenue, off the Navan Road.
The victim is known to gardai and has several convictions, including jail terms for drug offences and assaulting a female garda in Cabra almost six years ago.
The scene has been sealed off for a forensic examination and the office of the state pathologist has been informed.
Gardai have appealed for information.
Two years ago a 23-year-old was shot in the shoulder during a lunch time gun attack in the pub, and in April 2010 gangland boss Eamon Dunne, known as The Don, was shot dead in the nearby Fassaugh House Pub.
