Post mortem due on couple's bodies found in Carlow B&B

A post mortem is due to take place today on the bodies of a man and a woman found dead in Carlow yesterday.

The remains of the couple in their 50s were discovered with gunshot wounds in a bed and breakfast in the town yesterday afternoon.

A firearm was also found at the scene. The couple's bodies were removed to Naas general hospital, where today's post mortem will be carried out.

Gardaí are not believed to be looking for a third party in their investigation.
