Horsemeat crisis spreads to Asia

The horse meat crisis has now spread to Asia - where an imported lasagne brand has been pulled from shelves in Hong Kong.

Authorities there have ordered one of the biggest supermarket chains in the city - Park'n'Shop - to remove the lasagne, made by frozen food giant, Findus.

Meanwhile, the European Commission is to step up its monitoring of meat processing.

Each member State is to carry out DNA testing on beef products sold in retail outlets.
