Gardaí to take 'slow-burn' action if pay and allowances threatened
on 18/02/2013 13:28:53
Rank and file gardaí have already confirmed they will refuse to use their own cars, phones and laptops for official duty from next Friday.
Members of the Garda Representative Association may also picket government-organised events.
GRA president John Parker said they would up the ante with "slow-burn" actions including not covering non-public duty events or sporting fixtures, and with lobbying TDs.
"Our availability off duty in a voluntary capacity will not be there," he said.
