Man arrested after car and Garda vehicles in collision

A man in his 30s is in custody this morning following a collision involving a car and Garda vehicles in Co Wicklow yesterday.

Officers were responding to a suspected robbery at St Fergal's Church in Bray at around 1pm.

A dark-coloured saloon car was then pursued by officers when it was involved in a collision with three Garda cars.

Seven officers were hurt and one needed hospital treatment. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
