Cork collision claims life of 27-year-old woman

A woman has died following a road crash in Cork overnight.

The 27-year-old died following a single vehicle collision in Donoughmore at around 1am this morning.

She was rushed to Cork University Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The only other occupant of the car - a 29 year old man - suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The road is closed for a technical examination.
