Burned out car linked to gang responsible for Dundalk Detective killing

It is understood gardaí and the PSNI believe a criminal gang from the north Louth-south Armagh area are behind the raid on the Lordship Credit Union, which took place at around 9.30pm on Friday night.
Forty-one year old Detective Garda Donohoe was shot and killed at close range in the credit union car park.
The burned out dark coloured car was found yesterday at Darkley near Keady, 25 miles from the scene of the attack.
The same gang are believed to have been behind a similar raid on the same credit union in 2011 during which €62,000 was stolen.
Father of two Det Garda Donohoe was based in Dundalk Garda Station and was on escort duty along with Det Garda Joe Ryan - he got out of his car to question the raiders when one of them shot him in the head.
He will be laid to rest on Wednesday afternoon after funeral Mass at St Joseph's Redemptorist Church in Lordstown.
