Woman killed in Monaghan crash

A woman has died following a crash in Co Monaghan.

The accident happened shortly before 5pm yesterday at Tullyvaragh Lower, Carrickmacross.

The woman has been named locally as Michelle McCable from Latton, Castleblayney, who was in her mid 30s.

It is understood that two cars were involved in the accident and a number of people were injured.

The road was closed to allow an examination of the site.
