UK becomes Germany's largest trading partner

Germany has said Britain has become its biggest trading partner for the first time.

Figures from the Bundesbank show the total value of trade between the two countries has grown to €153bn in the first nine months of 2012.

British exports to Germany rose by 20% over the same period.
