Adams unhappy with Gilmore comments on border poll
on 20/01/2013 15:24:23
During an interview with RTÉ radio earlier today Eamon Gilmore described the move by Sinn Féin as "unwise and ill-timed".
The Sinn Féin leader said the Tánaiste's comments were predictable and claimed the Government's instinct was to attack his party at every opportunity.
Mr Adams said his party was working hard with unionists to end sectarianism and violence.
"We are wedded to the Good Friday Agreement," Mr Adams said.
"The Government needs to pursue its full implementation for equality and democracy.
"Sinn Féin is about doing this and we will also continue to encourage the Government to join us in the endeavour."
