Man killed in Wicklow crash

A man in his 30s has been killed in a crash in Co Wicklow.

The crash happened on the N11 northbound at the Ashford/Rathnew exit at about 7am.

A number of vehicles were involved.

A man in his mid 30s, who was driving one of the vehicles, was killed in the collision. His body has been taken to Loughlinstown Hospital.

The N11 is closed northbound for a forensic collision examination and diversions are in place.

Gardaí in Wicklow are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on the N11 at the time of the collision or shortly before the collision to contact them in Wicklow on 0404 - 60140, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
