New-look €5 note unveiled

The new-look €5 note has been unveiled, and will be in circulation from May 2.

It is the first of the new 'Europa' series of notes. The full series will be introduced gradually over several years, in ascending order.

The denominations remain unchanged: €5, €10, €20, €50, €100, €200 and €500.

President of the ECB Mario Draghi unveiled the new €5 banknote today at the Archaeological Museum in Frankfurt am Main.
