Aer Lingus sees December passenger numbers rise

The total, which includes Aer Lingus Regional operations, went up to 734,000 last month compared to December 2011.
Short haul flown passengers, including Aer Lingus Regional, in December 2012 were 658,000, an increase of 6.5% on December 2011, while long haul flown passengers in December 2012 were 76,000, an increase of 13.4% on December 2011.
Aer Lingus mainline's flown passenger load factor in December 2012 increased by 2.9 points on December 2011 to 70.9%.
Short haul flown load factor was 66.6%, an increase of 0.7 points on December 2011, with capacity decreasing by 2.5%.
Long haul flown load factor was 77.7%, an increase of 6.1 points on December 2011, with capacity increasing by 4.5% on prior year.
