Journalists jailed for not covering South Sudan president's speech

Two state broadcast journalists have been arrested in South Sudan for failing to cover a speech by President Salva Kiir.

Since the African republic split from Sudan, journalists have complained about on-going persecution from security services.

In 2011, authorities closed a newspaper after it criticized Kiir for allowing his daughter to marry a non-national.
