IFA confirm deadline for claiming existing Rights of Way

The Irish Farmers' Association has confirmed that the deadline for claiming existing Rights of Way is the 30th of November, 2021.

It follows confusion generated by a report in yesterday's Sunday Independent which wrongly advised that the deadline was 30th November 2012 - the end of this month.

An IFA spokesperson said many farmers feared they were facing a very tight time limit for claiming rights of way with the Property Registration Authority - when in fact they have another nine years.
