SIPTU: Aer Lingus pre-conditions must be removed to avoid work stoppage

The airline wants to offset it's efforts to plug the hole in its pension scheme by demanding increased productivity from workers.
But SIPTU said that these demands are completely unrelated to the pensions crisis.
Union spokesperson Dermot McLoughlin also rejected claims that SIPTU is looking for €750 million to fill the pensions deficit - he said that it would cost Aer Lingus €200 million:
