McFeely tells court family have had 'rough time' from media

Bankrupt developer Tom McFeely has told the District Court his family have had a pretty rough time having suffered from a media circus.

He said his teenage daughter had secured enough points in her mocks to study law but didn't get the marks in her Leaving Certificate.

He also compared a newspaper photo of the repossession of his house in Ballsbridge last August to an image from the famine.

Lawyers for MCR Personnel Ltd is questioning the developer and has applied for him to be jailed over his failure to comply with court orders concerning a €24,000 debt.
