Louth man pleads guilty to killing teenager

Douglas Ward (aged 36), with an address at Loughantarve, Knockbridge, Co Louth, has pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of the 18-year-old, but not guilty to murder.
His plea has been accepted at the Central Criminal Court by lawyers representing the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Mr Dorr died after he was attacked while walking home with friends at Castle Road, Dundalk on the night of 14th October, 2010.
Douglas Ward has been remanded in custody until he is sentenced on December 17.
Mr Justice Paul Carney directed that the court be furnished with a victim impact report on the day of the sentencing.
