Two hospitalised following Athy collision

Two people have been hospitalised after a single vehicle crash near Athy in Co Kildare.

Gardaí and emergency services from Athy and Carlow attended the scene near Maganey just before midday

The road between Maganey and Carlow was closed for a time to allow the scene to be cleared.

Kildare's Road Safety Officer, Declan Keogh, has renewed his appeal to motorists this Bank Holiday weekend to be aware of the weather conditions and drive at an appropriate speed.
