New site to measure Govt's performance

A new website is being launched today which will measure the Government's performance across a number of key areas.

Ireland Stat has been set up to fulfil the commitment under the Programme for Government to make the workings of Government more transparent.

It works using large amounts of data gathered across the public service and tracks progress on the economy, transport, innovation and the environment.

The pilot site shows what the Government has achieved, what it has done, how much it cost and how Ireland compares internationally.
