Report warns many paying too much in pension charges

People are being advised to check whether the charges attached to their pension plans are too high.

The Government has today published a report on pension charges, which found that many people are paying more than they need to.

The study found that those on small occupational schemes or individual pension policies were most likely to incur high costs.

Responding to the report's findings, Social Protection Minister Joan Burton warned people that seemingly small percentages can add up to big reductions when they draw down their pensions on retirement
