EU to vote on female quotas for boardrooms

The EU will vote on proposals to impose compulsory quotas for women in the boardroom later.

The plans would see 40% of positions reserved for female workers.

At the moment, just 14% of board members in the EU's biggest publicly-listed companies are women.
