Post mortems to take place of children tragically killed in Galway

Post mortems are to be carried out on the two children killed tragically in Co Galway yesterday afternoon.

The two-year-old and three-month-old baby were on a walk with their father when they were struck by a car on the N17 in Dunmore in Tuam.

The little girls were both taken to University College Hospital Galway where they were pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

Their father and the driver of the vehicle have been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
